  • Source and screen greenfield and brownfield investment opportunities within the natural resources, mining, and minerals sector.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities, evaluating geological data, resource estimates, financial performance, and market dynamics.
  • Prepare financial models, valuation, and sensitivity analysis to assess the value and potential returns of investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memorandum, presentations, and reports for internal stakeholders and investment committees, presenting investment recommendations and rationale.
  • Conduct due diligence processes, including site visits, management interviews, and document reviews, to assess the operational, financial, and environmental aspects of potential investments.
  • Support the execution of investment transactions, including deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation, working closely with legal, finance, and other relevant teams.
  • Monitor portfolio investments, tracking performance, operational metrics, and market developments to identify opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in portfolio management activities, including asset allocation, re-balancing, and performance reporting, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with senior investment professionals, research analysts, and other team members to share insights, discuss investment ideas, and contribute to investment strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or CFA designation preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in working on deals end-to-end; investment analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting (M&A), with a focus on the natural resources/heavy sectors (oil&gas, manufacturing, metals, mining, power, energy, etc.)
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Passion for the natural resources industry and commitment to sustainable resource development.
