Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans for the hospital's core infrastructure to align with organizational goals and future technology trends.
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to establish and implement long-term infrastructure roadmaps.
  • System Maintenance and Optimization:
    • Perform regular maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure the stability and security of the infrastructure.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively optimize resources to meet the hospital's evolving needs.
  • Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues, collaborating with IT helpdesk and support teams to resolve problems promptly.
    • Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure a reliable healthcare IT environment.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements:
    • Evaluate and recommend system upgrades and enhancements to keep technology systems aligned with evolving healthcare needs.
    • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement upgrades and ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Integration and Interoperability:
    • Work on integrating different technology systems to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
    • Collaborate with vendors and other IT professionals to address interoperability challenges and optimize system integration.
  • Advanced Technical Expertise:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for complex infrastructure issues, guiding the team in troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical challenges.
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve the hospital's infrastructure.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the hospital receives optimal support and solutions for infrastructure-related products and services.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the hospital's IT capabilities.
  • Security and Compliance Leadership:
    • Take a lead role in developing and implementing security policies and practices for the core infrastructure, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing any vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of infrastructure components with other hospital systems.
  • Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability.
    • Implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring the infrastructure meets the hospital's evolving needs.
  • Database Management and Maintenance:
    • Collaborate with IT architects and developers to design and implement database structures that support healthcare applications and systems.
    • Ensure proper data modeling and indexing for efficient data retrieval and storage.

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
    • Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing core IT infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
    • Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of IT professionals.
    • In-depth knowledge of advanced server, network, database and storage technologies.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
