Job vacancy Head of Legal - Standalone Role

Successful conglomerate, operating predominantly in the FMCG and hospitality industry. The company are a distribution powerhouse, connecting global brands with local markets across Middle East and Africa (MEA). With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, they have built a reputation as a reliable partner in the industry for multiple decades.

• Seeking a commercial lawyer to establish the legal framework and processes for this growing organisation.
• Partnering with external legal counsel to make sure all in house legal requirements are met.
• Develop and implement legal strategies and policies in line with the company's objectives and the legal requirements of KSA.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including distribution agreements, procurement contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Provide legal advice and support on matters related to employment and labour law, including drafting employment contracts, handling employee disputes, and ensuring compliance with labour regulations.
• Manage litigation matters, including disputes, claims, and legal actions involving the company.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and other departments, to ensure legal compliance and provide timely legal guidance.

• A qualified lawyer with a strong academic background and professional legal qualifications.

• 5 to 6 years of experience in commercial contracts and litigation within in house or Private Practice - or a combination of the two

• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian commercial law, employment law, and labour regulations.
• Familiarity with the FMCG and hospitality industry will be an advantage but not essential.
• Strong preference for Saudi Nationals, however Arabic speakers with strong knowledge of Saudi laws may be considered
