Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership:
    • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the hospital's revenue cycle objectives and corporate application needs.
    • Provide leadership and direction to IT staff responsible for revenue cycle systems and corporate applications, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, revenue cycle management, clinical departments, and executive leadership, to prioritize IT initiatives and investments.
  • Systems Development and Integration:
    • Oversee the development, customization, and integration of software applications supporting revenue cycle management, such as electronic health records (EHR), billing systems, and financial software.
    • Ensure seamless integration of corporate applications with other hospital systems and external interfaces, such as payer portals and clearinghouses.
    • Lead software development projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Application Maintenance and Support:
    • Establish policies and procedures for the ongoing maintenance, support, and optimization of revenue cycle and corporate applications.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing system issues, inquiries, and enhancement requests in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve software-related issues, implement upgrades, and ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee data management initiatives to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of revenue cycle data and corporate application databases.
    • Develop reporting frameworks and analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights and performance metrics related to revenue cycle operations and corporate application usage.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, customize dashboards, and deliver meaningful insights to support decision-making and process improvement efforts.
  • Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements, privacy regulations, and industry standards related to revenue cycle operations and corporate application security.
    • Implement robust security measures, access controls, and data encryption protocols to safeguard sensitive patient information and corporate data assets.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory mandates.
  • Training and Knowledge Management:
    • Develop training programs and resources to educate end-users on the proper use of revenue cycle systems and corporate applications.
    • Provide ongoing training and support to IT staff to enhance their technical skills and proficiency in managing healthcare-specific software solutions.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across departments to optimize system utilization and maximize operational efficiency.

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on healthcare revenue cycle management and corporate applications.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, billing, coding, and claims management.
    • Proficiency in healthcare IT systems and software applications, such as EHR, revenue cycle management software, and financial systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
    • Demonstrated experience leading software development projects, managing vendor relationships, and implementing IT solutions in a hospital or healthcare environment.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
    • Certification in IT project management (e.g., PMP), healthcare IT (e.g., CHCIO, CHIS), or relevant software platforms is a plus.

    AED25,000 - AED40,000 per month (AED300,000 - AED480,000 per year) (AED)
