Job vacancy Executive Director of Nursing/Midwifery Research (

The purpose of this role is to provides strategic direction and advocacy for Nursing and Midwifery Research across Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and reports to HMC’s Chief Nursing Officer. The EDONM-R is responsible for providing professional nursing/midwifery and managerial leadership to the NMRD and nursing/midwifery research across HMC, ensuring international research standards are adhered to in order to deliver safe patient and family centered care. The EDONM-R will lead the development of HMC Nursing & Midwifery Research Development (NMRD) strategy that results in research grants and research funding. The EDONM-R will be responsible for ensuring that all literature reviews, evidence synthesis, development of research protocols, applications for research funding, scope and parameters of the research studies are carried out in accordance with the values, guiding principles and international nursing/midwifery research standards. The EDONM-R will play a key role in representing HMC amongst national and international nursing/midwifery research leaders and actively seek opportunities for international collaboration. The EDONM-R will be an ambassador for Qatar nursing and midwifery research.

Essential Job Requirements Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Midwifery/Mental Health Nursing plus Master’s degree in Health related field and PhD Experience 12 years experience in clinical and/or managerial that includes 5 years in research. Note: Time spent acquiring a Ph.D. is considered suitable research experience
